lpv:spoken text	"I can support this because it is vital consumers are able to make informed decisions when buying fish and aquaculture products. This is important both for those who buy the products and also for fishermen themselves, who want the fish they catch to be correctly labelled, so that they are not unfairly hindered by the mislabelling of cheaper alternatives. Legislation already exists for Member States themselves to ensure that there is a robust control of fish and aquaculture products and they therefore have a responsibility to enforce quality control checks. I note caution on the call for the Commission to examine the feasibility of an eco-label scheme for fishery and aquaculture products, something which could add additional and unnecessary red-tape burdens for fishermen."@en1
