lpv:spoken text	"The cohesion policy promotes balanced and sustainable development throughout the EU and I believe that its implementation should be expedited. The risk of decommitment with regard to the European Structural and Investment funds is of further concern. These funds should be used in line with the Europe 2020 policy throughout the Member States. Although the global economic downturn may have stunted the implementation of such funds, there should be a continuous dialogue between the Commission and the Member States seeking investments in order to harmonise the general cohesion policy over the European Union."@en1
