This year it mainly focused on the novel idea of the campaigns and the differentiation made between the EP President’s mandate and the S&D candidate’s mandate, which I believe does need further inspection and assessment as to what utility there may be in it. On the general expenditure allowance (GEA), besides a reiteration from the report last year, the call in the amendments adopted for more transparency and precision in the list of expenses which may be defrayed from the GEA is something I can support. I was particularly happy to see the adoption of amendments calling for a single seat for the European Parliament – an issue that needs to be put to bed sooner rather than later."@en1
