While the accounts gave a fair representation of the JU’s financial position, the ex-ante control performed by the Joint Undertaking’s Scientific Project Officers (SPO) did not clearly identify and comment upon the status of the project and its deliverables; and payment was made without an official listing of deliverables accepted by the SPO and without any reference to the assessment of deliverables by the SPO. Therefore I voted in favour of discharge but abstained on the approval of accounts."@en1
