Article 17 of the TFEU states that Member State compliance with EU law is a matter for the European Commission (and the Venice Commission), and not the European Parliament or any other EU institution. The Commission has yet to give its final opinion on the matter and it is premature to pass judgement. I am afraid that this resolution by the European Parliament is simply political posturing."@en1
