"I supported the application by the Commission for EUR 380 000 of the EGF to be mobilised in 2016 for measures for technical assistance to finance expenditure. This amount is below the maximum of 0.5% of the annual maximum amount of the EGF and contains the same items to be funded as in the previous year. This assistance provided by the Commission to the Member States supports and enhances the use of the EGF by providing information on the applications and by spreading best practice among Member States. Positive measures proposed are the funding of the Expert Group of Contact Persons of the EGF and networking seminars on the implementation of the EGF as the promotion of the Fund is hugely important. I hope this exchange of information will contribute to better and more detailed reporting on the success rate of the applications in the Member States, in particular about reach and re-employment rates of beneficiaries which are crucial in order to assess the added value of measures. In this regard I also welcome the integration of reporting into the electronic data exchange system which could ease the administrative burden for Member States and facilitate the use of reports for evaluation purposes."@en1
