lpv:spoken text	"This report is a step in the right direction as it acknowledges the fact that small-scale fishing should not be categorised in the same manner as industrial, aka large-scale fishing, and thus there should be a clearer distinction. Especially as there are fundamental differences in terms of the scale of the environmental impact, sustainability and socio-economic interdependence between small-scale fisheries and communities that rely on sustainable non-industrial fishing, whereas industrial vessels and their multinational operators are not concerned with having a symbiotic relationship with any particular coastal community and their surrounding marine environments – their general concern is profiteering and maximising the detrimental exploitation of stocks. The focus on more regionalisation and a more equitable distribution of quotas for non-industrial fisheries was something that my party would be very supportive of. It was for these reasons that I voted in favour of this report."@en1
