"I supported this resolution as it proposes to overhaul all EU legislation to ensure that legislation is more accessible, by cutting red tape and removing unnecessary regulatory barriers. The REFIT Programme aims to correct any legislation that contains burdens, inconsistencies, and ineffective measures in order to proceed with corrective measures. The emphasis on maintaining political trust and balance between the Parliament and the Commission is also a positive aspect for the functioning of this institution."@en1
