"This agreement would provide for a cooperative agreement between Europol and Brazil. Unlike other cooperation agreements with third states or international organisations this would not include the exchange of personal data, making the issue of data protection void in the present case. This arrangement would enable the exchange of criminal investigation procedures, sharing of crime-prevention methods, training exercises, specialist knowledge and other provisions of support in criminal investigations. Europol has found that cooperation with Brazil is an essential factor in the fight against organised crime, such as human trafficking and drug related crimes. The 2016 Olympic Games may also lead to increased levels of crime activity in Brazil, so urgent action in the form of cooperative measures are necessary."@en1
