Nevertheless, the whole question of VAT rates is going to be considered more fully by this House in the not-so-distant future. We must be take full account of the needs of Europe’s citizens and should adapt the law where necessary. In this regard my party colleague Alison Thewliss MP has campaigned strongly for an end to the so called ‘tampon tax’, and I commend her work to the House."@en1
