Eritreans fleeing the country now constitute the third largest group of refugees making the perilous journey to Europe. Therefore, I supported the resolution as its purpose is not only to highlight and call for improvements to the appalling human rights situation, but to consider how EU aid and resources can be best focused to address the situation and help bring about change."@en1
