"This report sets out a new legal framework for veterinary medicines for authorisation, manufacturing, drug safety and their use. The aim of the report is to strengthen the Commission proposal. This report calls for the ban on prophylactic use of veterinary medicines which contain antimicrobials (albeit with some exceptions) which is an important move forward in combatting antimicrobial resistance. Therefore, I voted in favour of this report."@en1
