lpv:spoken text	"Whilst I have the greatest possible concern for the plight of all those fleeing war and persecution, primarily from Syria, I feel that this report spectacularly misses the point. Women and children are often left behind, both in Syria and in refugee camps, whilst those who undertake dangerous journeys across Europe from safe country to safe country at the hands of smugglers are predominantly male. This leaves women at far greater risk in their country of origin and in refugee camps, and therefore any report on the situation of women refugees should consider what steps can be taken to tackle this situation. Instead, it focuses on other issues and neglects those who have not arrived within Europe. Once again this is a ‘little European’ report which fails to understand the global issue."@en1
