"The Commission’s ‘one-size-fits-all’ proposal for a new port services regulation failed to recognise the complexity and diversity of the EU’s port sector. Although Parliament has managed to secure some limited improvements to the Commission’s proposal, this draft legislation remains a blunt instrument with very little added value for port operators, users or workers. For this reason, Labour MEPs voted against Parliament’s Port Services Report and will continue to work with UK ports and unions to oppose this regulation."@en1
