lpv:spoken text	"I voted in favour of the report as it represents a major achievement of European law and policy—making with regards to animals. The new Animal Health Law represents a positive contribution of the EU to the health and welfare of animals, the key concern of Labour supporters. Importantly, the new law will introduce robust measures to tackle transmissible animal diseases which endanger animal welfare and pose health risks to humans. The new law also contains a set of provisions that will be useful for dealing with stray animals in a humane manner. In sum, the new Animal Health Law is a great example of the EU actually delivering on a matter of direct importance to the EU citizens."@en1
