lpv:spoken text	"I support this resolution as I strongly believe that the EU can and must uphold international humanitarian law. The resolution highlights that some EU Member States have continued to authorise the transfers of weapons to Saudi Arabia in clear violation of the EU Common Position, despite evidence that these weapons have been used to commit human rights abuses in Yemen. Together with other MEPs, I have also raised this issue directly with the High Representative for Foreign Affairs in a written question and I welcome the adoption of a resolution on the matter as an additional means to build up pressure on the Commission and the External Action Service."@en1
