"I would like to confirm in the interest of transparency that I voted against this report as a whole. I believe in free trade but I do not trust the European Union to negotiate this trade agreement in the best interests of the United Kingdom. The UK taxpayer has already contributed towards a EUR 300 million loan to Tunisia to help keep its economy afloat. In a few weeks’ time, when the UK votes to leave the European Union, the UK Government will be able to start its own negotiations for free trade with Tunisia."@en1
