lpv:spoken text	"Given that gender equality is a core value of the EU and considering the strides the European Union has taken on the matter, the Commission’s strategy for gender equality in 2015 was not comprehensive enough to affect justice in gender equality on a European level. The Commission is bound by Article 2 of the Treaty of the European Union and by the Charter of Fundamental Rights to act in favour of gender equality. The Commission must now adopt a new Strategy for Gender Equality and Women’s Rights 2016-2020 which is in line with the international gender equality agenda and deals with issues such as violence against women, health, education, working time, etc. The Commission should also cooperate with the Parliament and the Council in order to establish an EU summit on gender equality and women’s rights which would identify progress and renew commitments to gender equality and women’s rights within the EU."@en1
