"With regard to the petitions received from EU citizens on behalf of people with disabilities and given the fact that the EU and its Member States are parties to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the rights of persons with disabilities should be emphasised, especially in relation to the right to education, to be free from discrimination, and their rights to intellectual property. The Marrakesh Treaty to facilitate access to published works for persons who are blind, visually impaired, or otherwise print disabled should be ratified by all Member States of the EU. The ratification process for the Marrakesh Treaty should be accelerated and should be done without revision of EU law or the decision of the CJEU. It is past time to find a political solution for those who are blind or visually impaired. Like the rest of us they have the right to accessible literature."@en1
