"I believe that it is important to protect our wildlife and its habitats. The United Kingdom and my own constituency in the North East is full of beautiful landscapes, unique wildlife and vegetation. I want to preserve it for future generations.
However, the EU environmental policies have caused irreparable damage to our fish stocks, caused great damage to our agriculture industry and caused widespread deforestation. This report uses the 'precautionary principle' to block progress and innovative technology that could possibly help maintain our environment.
I voted against this report."@en1
