"As with the previous vote, the Polish Constitution grants immunity to parliamentarians for traffic offences, such as speeding, when performing their parliamentary duties. Similarly, I do not wish to stand in the way of the course of justice and I supported the vote to have Mr. Iwaszkiewicz tried for this offence. This case has a slight difference from the previous one, as Mr. Iwaszkiewicz does not accept that he was driving the vehicle at the time of the allegation and does not accept the fine; if the Member desires to clear his name of this accusation, I believe that it should be taken through the judicial system."@en1
