"A cooperation agreement between Eurojust and Montenegro would reinforce judicial cooperation in the combat against serious crime and corruption, with a particular emphasis on organised crime and terrorism. The agreement would see operational cooperation between Eurojust and Montenegro, such as the temporary transfer of a liaison prosecutor by Montenegro to Eurojust. It would also encourage the exchange of information including personal data. Article 26a(2) of the Council Decision of 28 February 2002 provides that it is for the Council to approve the agreements concluded by Eurojust with third countries. The Council is required to consult Parliament when adopting implementing measures. This cooperation mechanism is crucial to strengthen the combat against transnational crime whilst also enhancing judicial coordination in Europe."@en1
