"The Commission proposal for this regulation aims at updating existing EU legislation on cableway installations and thereby bringing it also into line with the New Legislative Framework (NLF) on the marketing of products. There are several thousand cableways in Europe today and it is important that citizens feel safe when using one. The new regulation will help ensure up-to-date and stronger design and construction standards for the future of cableway installations."@en1
