"I support the final agreement on personal protective equipment, which avoids any unnecessary expansion of the scope of the Regulation. I particularly welcome the exclusion of oven gloves from the proposal, which the Commission had originally suggested to cover even though these products were not regulated as PPE previously. Their inclusion in the scope would have entailed a significant increase in costs for manufacturers of such gloves, without any clear corresponding consumer benefit."@en1
