"Mr Kamall, you spoke about the need for a reformed Europe. Unlike yourself and the Dutch Prime Minister, I am unfortunately old enough to remember the last referendum, under Harold Wilson’s Labour government, when we had a few inconsequential, cosmetic changes which were paraded as a great reform and nobody can now remember what they were.
In terms of reform do you not think it is a major omission from Mr Cameron’s list of reforms that he does not want to restore the supremacy of Parliament and have the ability to reject unwanted law? Are not all his reforms meaningless without that central key reform, which is we take back supremacy of law to our own Parliament? Do you agree or disagree?"@en1
