lpv:spoken text	"I voted in favour of a motion for a European Parliament resolution on stocktaking and challenges of the EU Financial Services Regulation. It also charts the way forward towards a more efficient and effective EU framework for financial regulation and a Capital Markets Union. This own-initiative report is a step forward to address the weaknesses in financial services law-making and to voice concerns on the impact of legislative measures that have not been sufficiently evaluated before being implemented. In particular it rightly highlights the need for a thorough impact assessment of the financial services framework and the need for more proportionality in the financial services legislation with regard to policy initiatives on SMEs and SME funding. I fully support the introduction of an impact assessment by the Commission services as well as ongoing obligatory checks to ensure that the application of financial legislation is understandable and better aligned to the needs of SMEs."@en1
