"I welcome this report as a useful overview of legislation covering financial services: the assessment of individual legislative measures and the lack of analysis on their impact is particularly helpful. The rapporteur is quite right to identify the global competitiveness of EU legislation and the EU financial sectors as an essential challenge in financial services regulation. As a useful contribution to the debate on financial services regulation I welcome this report and am happy to support it."@en1
