"I voted in favour of this resolution as it is important to remember the victims of the war, and to reiterate the EU’s commitment to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s development. There is no doubt that EU integration is the key to the country’s progress.
However, I regret that my amendments on the importance of culture and education, youth and civil society as key players in reconciliation, dialogue and political and social progress have been taken out.
I call on the EU to promote youth empowerment and participation in Bosnia, and advance the role of cultural activists, artists, writers and academics in building cultural dialogue and exchange, and there must be significant investment in education for democracy, fundamental rights, and citizenship in Bosnia."@en1
