lpv:spoken text	"I voted for this report because it stresses the need to support the base metal industry as it in particular is vulnerable to outside competition and also to EU climate and energy policy. The report also addresses the problem of heightened loss of competitiveness of several basic materials industries such as the steel, aluminium or non-ferrous metals industries. It is critical that the EU builds an efficient framework for these sectors in order to re-establish their economic potential. The overall target of this report is in line with the EPP Group’s priority to re-industrialise Europe through investments and to promote an international level playing field in this sector."@en1
