lpv:spoken text	"I supported this report as invasive alien species are numerous and it is therefore important to ensure that priority is given to addressing the subset of invasive alien species considered to be of EU concern. It is important to ensure that the identification of invasive alien species of EU concern remains proportionate and focuses on species whose inclusion on the EU list would effectively prevent, minimise or mitigate the adverse impact of those species in a cost effective manner. Many of the most problematic invasive alien species are not listed, while some species incapable of causing a significant negative impact on biodiversity, ecosystem services, human health or the economy, or for which the measures to be taken would result in disproportionate costs, are listed."@en1
