"I voted in favour of the reappointment of the Chairperson of the European Securities and Markets Authority. In 2011, Steven Maijoor was selected to be Chairperson of the European Securities and Markets Authority for five years. Following a suggestion by the Board of Supervisors of the ESMA, the Committee on Economic Affairs invited Maijoor to the European Parliament in order to discuss a five-year extension of his mandate. I approved this extension."@en1
