"I voted in favour of this own-initiative report as it sets out the European Parliament’s red lines ahead of a new Commission proposal on technical measures relating to the 2013 reform of the common fisheries policy (CFP) which sought among other things to secure maximum sustainable yields (MSY), using the ecosystem-based approach to fisheries management. Technical measures and multiannual plans have become the principal conservation instruments to achieve such objectives."@en1
