lpv:spoken text	"As my own constituents in the North-West of England have been hit by the floods of Storm Desmond, the EU must do all it can to invest in sustainable energy, and in the fight against climate change. EU energy policy must refocus from centring on fossil fuel to focusing on renewables, energy efficiency and intelligent infrastructure. There must be urgent action on energy poverty, which the European Commission must lead by presenting a communication on energy poverty in Europe, accompanied by an action plan to fight against it. If properly implemented, the Energy Union – the framework for upcoming legislation on energy – will ensure the energy transition to a clean, renewable future, putting the interests of consumers first and ensuring a secure, stable, affordable energy system."@en1
