lpv:spoken text	"Although this is the last of the countries which the European Parliament has granted its consent for a new visa regime, it is also one of the most significant. This is because the political relations between the EU and the UAE have, since 1988, been based on a cooperation agreement through the Gulf Cooperation Council and the EU. This waiver of visas agreement will be a tool for intensifying cooperation between the UAE and Europe, where we both have a great interest in stabilising the macro-region and acting as sound and reliable partners in various fields. I voted in favour of this agreement because it stands testament to the gains to our bilateral relations and our desire to bring people together. It will also bring about a boost in tourism for the United Arab Emirates."@en1
