lpv:spoken text	"Whilst I applaud many of the aims of this report, it deals with a lot of issues that are best dealt with at local level, rather than a European one, and I cannot support it. The report goes far beyond the sharing of best practice in European cities, which I agree with, and instead makes a detailed and prescriptive list of recommendations. Some of these are merely impractical, whilst others, such as the banning of cars in all European cities by 2050, are completely unrealistic and restrictive on citizens’ everyday lives. I also fundamentally disagree with this report prescribing how Member States should use the revenue gained from road tolls. That is a national competence and should remain so."@en1
