I welcome all efforts to simplify the implementation of the European Structural and Investment Funds, on the proviso that a sensible balance is struck between simplification and effective financial controls. I also support the creation of the new High Level Group of Independent Experts on Monitoring Simplification and the Commission’s Better Regulation Strategy, both positive steps towards the greater simplification mentioned in this resolution."@en1
