"Mr President, another EU summit, and again the problems facing this Union are staring them in the face and nothing is done. The first is that Chancellor Merkel and the leadership of this Union said: ‘Come ye, come ye’. So you are welcoming the entire world to the European Union. The second is Schengen and complete open borders within most of the European Union. Third, free movement for anyone with an EU passport ready to work and live in most of the European Union, which is why in recent years we have had record numbers of net immigration into the United Kingdom. Until you deal with that, you will not fix the migrant crisis, and every summer there will be problems at Calais, there will be problems at every single border – the external border of the European Union. Until you deal with that, you will not fix the problems, which is why in the UK we have seen the ‘Leave the EU’ campaign ahead in the polls. If you fail to address that then the United Kingdom will leave the European Union."@en1
