lpv:spoken text	"I voted in favour of this report because it calls for the highest level of protection for health and safety in the workplace. In the UK alone, there were 142 work-related deaths in 2014 and Labour MEPs have called for a strategy to emphasise the importance of proper training, the tackling of diseases and cancers caused by asbestos and other carcinogens by implementing appropriate screening measures, as well as proper measures for those working with chronic or terminal illnesses. We have called for the Commission not only to pursue a policy of regulation in the area of occupational health and safety but also to adopt a targeted approach to precarious employment and the negative effects that this has on occupational health and safety."@en1
