However, there were a number of negative provisions which included; the extension and enhancing of the remit of EU agencies such as Europol, the request of enhanced control of the EU’s borders, the calls for the isolation and segregation of prisoners, the report’s commitment to the introduction of European PNR and the call for enhanced cooperation with third countries including Israel, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and LAS states. These deeply concerning undemocratic aspects meant I had no option but to vote against it."@en1
