"Mr President, I was lucky. My own family in Paris that night were not in the bar; they were not at the match and were not at the concert. This could have happened to any of us. Terrorism is never justified and we must be united in the fight against terror, united across countries and, importantly, united across different faiths. We must give the security services the tools they need to do their job. If they want better sharing of data, let them have better sharing of data. If they want to know who is getting on an aeroplane, let them see the passenger name list. This is to keep the rest of us safe, so that we can continue to travel and trade across borders. Our national experts have a huge amount of experience in many countries in fighting against terrorism, and it is not this House’s role to stand in their way. Give them the tools they ask for."@en1
