I voted in favour of this report because I believe that the EU must play an active role within the organisation, project its values and contribute to effective multilateralism with a view to providing global solutions to global problems. I am confident that this report will send a strong message about the need for reform in the Security Council and, importantly, I believe that we need to see women elected as the Secretary-General of the United Nations."@en1
