lpv:spoken text	"Focusing on the role of the European Union within the United Nations system and on how to better achieve EU foreign policy goals within the UN, I voted in favour of this report as it contains a number of excellent recommendations and objectives in line with the stated foreign policy objectives of the EU. The report paves the way for an annual process in which the European Parliament can address the global challenges in a more meaningful and comprehensive way, as it calls on us to organise its work in the same way as the Commission, encouraging all committees whose remit covers policies that have an external and global dimension to forward their opinions to the Committee on Foreign Affairs, which has responsibility for the VP/HR report."@en¹
