Consumers will receive substantial information on the type and origin of bonuses for intermediaries. This means a strengthened role for the customer. Member States will mutually recognise the qualifications of insurance mediators, and there will be regular training and quality-check requirements. Supervisory authorities will exchange information to prevent bad practice and to be able to improve risk assessments. The new rules have been agreed on by Parliament and the Member States and will enter into force in late 2017."@en1
