"This involves the EU signing an international convention intended to be signed by states. My fellow MEPs and I therefore oppose it, not because we do not care about the tuna – we care very much and want numbers to grow – but because this is another instance of the EU behaving like a state. What this does is to give the EU a vote in a convention in which voting is the prerogative of full members who are nation states."@en1
