lpv:spoken text	"I voted in favour of this report on the EU joining a body for conservation of bluefin tuna. As a result the EU will become a full member of the Commission for the Conservation of Southern Bluefin Tuna (CCSBT), which is an intergovernmental organisation responsible for the management of southern bluefin tuna throughout its global distribution. The EU has already been a cooperating, extended member of this organisation since 2006. Cooperating non-members participate fully in the activities of the CCSBT and are required to comply with CCSBT management and conservation measures. However, they are not entitled to vote. Becoming a full member will allow the EU to have a voice in this commission. This organisation was established in the 1980s when it became apparent that the southern bluefin tuna stock was at a level where management and conservation was required. The organisation operates through a voluntary management arrangement. The largest fishers of southern bluefin tuna remain Australia, New Zealand and Japan."@en1
