lpv:spoken text	"The European Semester is the annual cycle of policy guidance from the Commission for the fiscal and structural reform policies of each Member State. The Commission provides country-specific recommendations and monitors the implementation of commonly agreed policies with national governments. These measures are designed to ensure Member States are not heading for financial difficulties which would put all Member States at risk. The S&D Group has fought hard to include more social criteria and to ensure any recommendations to labour market reform do not weaken workers’ rights or promote precarious employment but in fact strengthen the European social model and promote sustainable growth."@en1
