I would have preferred more transparency, that all rulings should be available to the public, not buried somewhere in a central Commission database in an aggregated form. Nevertheless, it is a major improvement on the existing situation, making mandatory and automatic what had been optional, the exchange of information on tax matters, notably with regard to advance tax rulings for companies. Doors that previously had been wide open aren’t being slammed shut, as they should be, but at least they are gradually being closed. I voted in favour for what is now a much improved situation."@en1
