Regarding roaming charges, may I just say that, contrary to the belief that only the EU can achieve this, it simply is not true. I use Three for my mobile phone. During the summer I went to the USA and was able to use every feature on my phone at no extra cost. I travelled to five different states, yet despite the fact that America is not in the EU, Three was able to get a roaming-free deal across America. Why do we need the EU to legislate on this? There are always unintended consequences to legislation. Being forced to lose a lucrative revenue stream, the telecoms companies will recoup these costs from those who do not have the privilege of a jet-set lifestyle."@en1
