lpv:spoken text	"This vote was concerned with a request for a parliamentary waiver for a Member of Parliament. The investigation appears to have been at least partially carried out by the intelligence services of Hungary, with no access to case documents for the defendant, which is a serious violation of the equality of arms principles in fair trials law. Moreover, there are a number of concerns which have been raised recently by the international legal community concerning the objectivity of Hungary’s judicial system which, it has been contended, has been interfered with by the use of Fidesz-dictated cardinal laws. Therefore, this raises serious doubts about the independence of the prosecution. It was for these reasons that I abstained on this vote."@en1
