"I supported this, given the urgent need to adequately address the humanitarian refugee crisis in Europe and at its borders. The report calls for the European Union to do more to address the current refugee crisis, stating that the current measures proposed are insufficient. I welcome the call for the Commission to present a sustainable long-term plan for the crisis, and particularly welcome and support the focus on search and rescue operations. We need an immediate response as more people than ever are seeking protection in Europe."@en1
